PEERSPIRIT CIRCLE PRACTICUM IN GERMANY
Oberursel, Germany
June 24-29, 2013
The PeerSpirit Circle Practicum is a 4.5 day seminar based on The Circle Way, A Leader in Every Chair, by Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea. Confident facilitation of Circle Process is the basis for many collaborative conversation modalities. Held in English, Christina and Ann will co-facilitate this seminar with local hosts, Matthias zur Bonsen and Jutta Herzog, of All-in-One-Spirit Consulting.
Part of the process will be to look at integrating the skills of Circle with those you already have. We will use lecture and conversation councils that teach the form, councils that practice the form, sessions on understanding intuition and energetics, keeping an open mind/heart connection, and trusting non-linear problem solving. As we carefully establish a safe structure for our circle, we will role play, brainstorm, take solo time, work in dyads, and help one another discern how to bring circle process back home.
DATES/TIMES:
The practicum begins at 4:00 p.m. on June 24, and runs through 10:00 a.m. on June 29, 2013.

THE CIRCLE WAY: A LEADER IN EVERY CHAIR
with Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea
April 6 & 7, 2013
Vancouver, BC Canada
Circle is what people do when we really want to listen and speak with one another. For over 20 years, global authors, Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea have defined the essential elements that make circle process strong enough to hold the needed conversations for these times. The foundation for many collaborative and dialogue practices, circle has provided the social infrastructure for community building for thousands of years. The Circle Way distills this lineage for modern applications. Participants will gain skills to host circle meetings in community, organizational and personal settings.
What do you want to talk about? How do you want to talk about it?
Learn how to—
- Set clear intention, frame agreements,
- Set space for changed process and renewed outcome,
- Apply aspects of circle process to enhance meetings,
- Practice in small circles with real questions and issues.
Based on their book, The Circle Way, A Leader in Every Chair, Hollyhock alumni faculty Christina & Ann have traveled the world and led thousands of people in conversations to healing, resolution, and action.

LEADING THROUGH CIRCLE AND STORY -
FINDING STRENGTH FROM THE PAST TO BUILD OUR FUTURE
with Christina Baldwin, Ann Linnea, Marjeta Novak, and Natalija Vrhunc
Prvine, Slovenia
July 4-7, 2013
Before there were rows of people there were circles of people who sat around a fire and spoke so that every voice contributed to decisions and actions.
Before there was data and huge quantities of information, people learned what they needed through story and listened for the common thread that could unite them.
When groups of people in the modern world sit down together in a circle and share stories relevant to why they are together, they discover the strength in their past to map a sustainable future.
This training (held in English) offers people skills to host meetings and conversations with authenticity and meaning.
Come learn—
- How to host a circle and create a space for people to speak truthfully, to heal old wounds, and to take personal responsibility.
- How to speak to the centre space, listen with agreements that keep everyone safe, and discover how diversity can lead to unity.
- How to ask questions that invite the contribution of stories, and to use stories to set direction and work together.
- How collective wisdom can be built from sharing what is meaningful to us through stories.
Circle is a common lineage found in some form in most societies. For 20 years, Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea have adapted circle to be used in organizations and communities. They have created an infrastructure for circle that has been used across North America, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Within the circle they integrate the power stories to create identity and belonging. And they are delighted to join with Slovenian leaders Marjeta Novak and Natalija Vrhunc to create this training.
One of the hopes for this circle training is to spread circle work to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), particularly to the region of ex-Yugoslavia and neighbouring countries. In order for the people from this region to be able to attend, the pricing of this event is based on economic conditions in this region.
About half of the places in the workshop (out of 30 including the four hosts) are reserved for potential participants from this region. Once the number of applicants from non-EEC countries reaches 15, a waiting list will therefore be started. We expect to know by 15 May 2013 whether there are places in the training for those people who might find themselves on the waiting list.
