Description

This addition to the PeerSpirit booklet series addresses ways that circle process can help congregations build healthy, mature, vibrant faith communities.

In addition, the booklet offers suggestions and possible components for sustaining effective committee/board meetings that honor God's Spirit and reflect the shared values of the faith community. Most of all, the process and booklet offer a different model for being and doing congregational community together - in a radically simple way, so that deeper connections are made and new insights and wisdom surface.

Though the language is framed toward Christian congregations, the understanding of the methodology is equally applicable in Jewish, Buddhist, and Muslim communities. Congregational leaders, both clergy and lay, will find the booklet helps them think about circle as a new way of doing church business and of holding sacred space for conversations that build compassionate connection and deeper community.
